There are dozens of fan sites.  How do you even begin to choose which ones to put time and effort into? Initially, when I started sex work, a little over two years ago, I decided Onlyfans because it was basically the only one I knew. So an easy choice for me there. Since then, I have seen that there are many, many more sites that are very similar and I have even ventured onto a few of them.

When OnlyFans briefly decided they would kick off sex workers I had no idea what to do with the content and the small community I had built up. That scare taught me a lot about the importance of having a backup plan! A way of making sure that if I am deplatformed I don’t just lose all that work and progress I had previously made. So I started looking around at some other sites and seeing what my other options actually looked like. of the sites available I ended up settling on Fansly as my plan B. It has a similar layout to Onlyfans in a lot of ways, but also offers a whole host of other features. I was especially excited about the tier feature and the option for fans to follow for free and I can make a preview of my posts where they can decide to purchase just the photo sets that interest them.

Since Onlyfans didn’t move forward with the sex work ban, I maintained both. Which I think is honestly the way to go. If you are already making the content and writing a caption It’s pretty easy to just upload to two sites, tho I will have to make a few posts on fansly for some sets to break up tier rewards but I have found having more options for fans, in the long run, has saved me from losing them due to a price increase (they just have switched tiers) or made me extra money when fans have upped their sub for a birthday or a month where they had extra income and wanted more content, or more of my time (I offer a short custom video and GFE on my top Fansly tier)

TLDR: Fansly has the bells and whistles and more options for fans but just can’t compete with Onlyfans reach. I’d say your best bet is to do both if possible.
