Managing time as a Sex Worker

I have made and remade So. Many. Schedules. Time management is something I still struggle with, but growing up, I was sure I would never be able to do what I now do for a living. Not that I had “Mattress actress” aspirations in school days, but I was quite sure that a dyslexic, disorganized kid like me would never be able to run my own business. I had a hard time getting my homework turned in on time, if I turned it in at all! So, how did I go from C’s get Degrees to where I sit now, in my PJs, at 2 a.m., paying my bills and working four days a week?

I’m kinda hoping to figure that out as I write. If you figure it out, do tell me. 😅 I have always had a pretty crazy work ethic. Thanks to my superwoman of a Mama! She worked two jobs, went back to school for her degree, and raised two teenagers all at the same time as a single mom. (She’s a total badass! Love her) While I did inherit the work ethic, not exactly the time management skills or organization…. But! I have made do and strived to improve my skills day by day, week by week, until of course, a week throws me off my schedule and then I’m back to the chaotic schedule for a few weeks. It’s a sisophian task, but I manage. There are a few constants I have noticed. Half of my time ends up being admin work. Scheduling posts, organizing files, planning content, researching ideas for content, or various kinks or fetishes for customs I have to film. When at all possible, spend twice as much time advertising as filming content. I love playing dress up, so I could shoot photo sets and custom videos all day, but if I have no one to show them to, rent is going to be tough to make. And the other thing that has helped me keep my lights on and my kitties’ lives glamorous (my actual cats, get your mind out of the gutter!), taking the time to make real connections with my clients and fans. Cheesy, Yes. But true! “Real connections” doesn’t mean I am always nice to them (some prefer I be extra cruel), or that I let them walk over boundaries, but I try to present to them a human, and acknowledge the human in them, not just the wallet. (Unless of course they want that 😝)
